Girl Guides Day is celebrated around the world on February 22nd each year and in Herbertstown our two representatives wore their uniforms to school to mark the occasion.
The girls visited some of the other classrooms to talk about the Girl Guides and how they had earned their badges. Well done girls.
The boys and girls got great exercise and were able to practise some of the skills associated with the game.

Hospital Handball Club have training for juvenile players on Sundays from 2:30-4:30pm and are always happy to welcome new players if anyone is interested in trying the sport out.
We had boys and girls teams representing the school at the Olympic Handball Limerick Finals in Croom on Wednesday. Well done to our boys who played in some terrific games and finished in third place.
Our girls were crowned county champions after winning all their games and they will now go forward to represent Limerick at the National Olympic Handball Finals in either April or May.
Pupils from 1st to 6th have started soccer with FAI coach. Jason will be coming to the school for a number of weeks and it is great to have the support, especially as we are in the process of renewing our Active School Flag.
