Cumann na mBunscol Week Quiz
Congratulations to the winning team of the GAA themed quiz we held on Friday to mark the end of Cumann na mBunscol Week.
The team scored an impressive 46 out of a possible 54 points!
They received a wonderful prize of an Allianz ‘Stop the Drop’ jersey each.
Anthony Baggott Cup
Knockainey NS were winners of the 2024 Anthony Baggott.
This was Knockainey’s third time winning the tournament which took place during national Cumann na mBunscol Week. The traditional group of schools took part; Caherline NS, Knockainey NS, Hospital NS and of course our own side from Herbertstown NS.
Herbertstown NS reached the final after winning all three of their group games. However, Knockainey produced a very good second half display to win the final.
Next year will be the 10th edition of the tournament and we are already looking forward to that.
Double South Success for Herbertstown NS
A Roinn B South double was achieved by our hurling and camogie teams in Martinstown today.
Our hurling team had two wins over Athlacca NS and Galbally NS on the way to winning the title.
Our camogie team won a straight final against Galbally NS.
Well done to all involved!
