The third and fourth class pupils recently investigated the importance of good hand washing and the results are clear to see in the photos below. The washing techniques which were compared were: ‘splash & dash’, ‘quick wash’ and ‘hospital wash’.

Autumn Art – Mr Fitzgerald’s Room
Some beautiful artwork is starting to fill up the school’s walls, like these colourful autumn scenes in Mr. Fitzgerald’s room.
5th Class Reach For The Sky
Mr Franklin’s class were challenged with creating the tallest ‘skyscraper’ possible using newspaper. Some fantastic constructions were created with groups with the highest skyscrapers reaching the dizzying heights of 47 and 45 inches!

Caterpillars to Butterflies – The Big Release!
The junior and senior infants released their butterflies last week. The 5 Painted Ladies had grown from caterpillars into butterflies in Mrs Murphy’s classroom.
Paper Windmills
The pupils in first and second class were busy this morning making paper windmills. Have a look at these photos to see how they created them using paper, pins and straws.

School Marks Walk to School Week
Well done to the boys and girls who made an extra effort last week to walk to school.

Eric Carle Art
1st & 2nd class celebrated the work of Eric Carle by creating some artwork in the style which he became famous for. The class also looked at some of his more well known children’s books like ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?’.
