Visit of local GAA Stars
Local GAA Stars visit the School
Gráinne Kennedy of St. Brigid’s Ladies Football Club and Conor O’Grady of Hospital/Herbertstown GAA Club visited the school to talk about football. Both Conor and Gráinne have represented Limerick at minor level in Gaelic Football and they gave a great talk to the children about the sport. As past pupils of the school, the current crop of children were very interested to hear what they had to say.
Thanks to Conor & Gráinne for taking the time to visit us and support sport & Gaelic Games in the school.

Páidí gave an excellent talk on the rules of the game and how the game has helped him see more of the world as it is played internationally. Páidí is a member of the Handball club in Hospital and some of our pupils are now planning to join!
Thanks to Páidí for taking the time to visit us.
Sarsfield Cup
Well done to Aaron Hanley who picked up a coveted Sarsfield Cup medal with South Limerick. The south defeated the East in the Gaelic Grounds.
Class Trip to the Hunt Museum & Limerick Fire Station
Second & Third class went on a very enjoyable trip in October to the Hunt Museum & Limerick Fire Station. A Second class pupil Ericka had entered an art competition in the Hunt Museum and she won a prize of a guided tour of the museum for her class. The children enjoyed going on an ‘animal hunt’ in the museum where they had to find a number of animals which were depicted in paintings & statues.
On the way back to school, the class visited Limerick Fire Station. The firefighters were very generous with their time and gave the children a tour of the station and allowed them to use some of the equipment.
