Our pupils had a great day in Kilballyowen today at the rugby blitz organised by Bruff Rugby Club.
Many thanks to Danny Keogh who has been coaching in the school for the last month and who organised today’s blitz.

Many thanks to Johnny who facilitated the school’s visit.
Hospital Handball Club have training for juvenile players on Sundays from 2:30-4:30pm and are always happy to welcome new players if anyone is interested in trying the sport out.
We had boys and girls teams representing the school at the Olympic Handball Limerick Finals in Croom on Wednesday. Well done to our boys who played in some terrific games and finished in third place.
Our girls were crowned county champions after winning all their games and they will now go forward to represent Limerick at the National Olympic Handball Finals in either April or May.
Pupils from 1st to 6th have started soccer with FAI coach. Jason will be coming to the school for a number of weeks and it is great to have the support, especially as we are in the process of renewing our Active School Flag.
It is always a nice experience for the boys and girls and a great way to support our efforts to renew our Active School Flag status.
Each of the sixth players did very well in what was their first game of handball outside of PE lessons in school. Three of the players were medal winners as the school collected a silver medal in the Roinn B girls division and bronze and silver medals in the Roinn B boys division.
All sixth were excellent representatives for the school at the event.
Following the very successful visit of Limerick Olympian Sarah Lavin to the school, sixth class had to complete their Dare to Believe log books. Once this was completed, their hard work led them to being awarded a Olympic Ireland Dare to Believe Flag. We look forward to raising this flag in 2023. The class also received commemorative Irish Olympic pins as a memento of their work in the programme.
Well done to all the class.
Before today, we had four previous winners of this competition so to have four more in one day is fantastic.
A great achievement by the girls and the South team who needed to win two close games to claim the title, well done!
Well done to our representatives on the South Limerick team who played the City on Tuesday in Rathkeale in the semi-final of the Sarsfield Cup.
It was great to have two players involved and we also had two teachers coaching the team – Mr. Franklin and Mr. English.
