On Friday 1st & 2nd class learned about some of the Irish athletes that will be heading to Tokyo for the Olympic Games.
They then wrote a ‘Good Luck’ message on a postcard to one of those athletes and posted them in Herbertstown.

3rd & 4th Class really enjoyed their Easter Egg Hunt before the Easter holidays.
Our school garden has been beautifully transformed thanks to the hard work of Louise and Breda.
It is well worth stopping by to have a look at what will be a lovely space for the school children to use.
Thank you to JP McManus and all at Team Limerick Clean Up for the gift of a souvenir photograph of the 2018 All Ireland winning Limerick team.
The caption on the photograph reads:
Souvenir photograph presented by team member Cian Lynch to Herbertstown National School in recognition of the school’s participation in Team Limerick Clean-Up.
First & Second Class were busy preparing entries for the GAA’s Seachtain na Gaeilge competition where they had to create a poster about their GAA hero.
A broad range of heroes could be seen from Limerick players, club coaches and even Marty Morrissey!
The pupils of first and second class got to use the new traffic lights in Herbertstown on Monday. This will provide a safe crossing point for school children when heading up the street to the hall or the church.
